The Foundation for Sustainability is aiming to ensure that Germany is living up to its responsibility in the implementation of the SDGs and the Paris Agreement. The Foundation is leading by example with respect to its investment strategy, coalition building, as well as concrete standpoints and actions. In all its endeavors, it strives to encourage others to follow suit. As one example of its activities, it is supporting a climate litigation case of a Peruvian mountain guide against German energy company RWE. The Foundation for Sustainability has been founded by Klaus Milke, chairman of the board of the climate advocacy organization Germanwatch and is supporting Germanwatch’s work and independence.
